Our friendly and caring staff are committed to offering your child the very best care and support during these very early years.

The nursery is lead by an experienced and qualified manager, and we employ a qualified teacher to oversee the education provided across the nursery.  All of our practitioners and assistants are appropriately qualified and/or experienced in childcare and are fully committed to providing the best outcomes for the children in our care.

Here at Sunshine Day Nursery we are committed to staff development and training and we continually strive to increase quality in all our activities.  Training is provided to all staff as appropriate through external and in-house courses delivered by some of the leading child care and education experts in the area.

We operate staff to child ratios in accordance with Ofsted regulations, and provide the Key Person system, which ensures your child is cared for consistently by the same member of staff.

Our recruitment and training policy ensures we are mindful of the essential balance of experience and qualifications when taking on and developing new carers.  We ensure that our staff are suitable to work with young children by operating a strict vetting procedure which includes obtaining an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.

The nursery provides two Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (SENCOs) and an Equal Opportunities representative.  Children with special needs are welcome to our setting as part of our inclusion policy. The Nursery Teacher specialises in Early Years education and is committed to delivering this to our children through best practice and close working with her team.
