Travelling to and from the Nursery

The major walkway routes to and from the nursery are generally well maintained, lit and signed, and provide an easy means of travel for local parents and carers.  The nursery has storage facilities for light buggies only.  Currently we do not have any cycle storage facilities and there are no cycle lanes serving the site. 

Car parking in the area is limited and strictly enforced.  Parking bays are available opposite the nursery and in the roads to the West and North.  If using the bays opposite please take care crossing Eastern Road and if possible use the pedestrian crossings at Brighton College or the Hospital.

Nursery Travel Issues

The Nursery aims to operate sustainably, and awareness of Travel issues and impact is a key factor in this goal.  The Nursery has produced a Travel Plan which details travel related issues , and identifies solutions and methods for reducing the impact from Nursery related travel.   The Plan has been approved by the Brighton and Hove Road Safety team and is updated annually to address new issues as they arise.  The latest Travel Plan can be downloaded here.
